# Hollyhock Installation Guide

**Status:** Release preparation guide. **Release-specific instructions will be published with the verified package.** No production deployment, package URL, or installation command is published here.

## Before installation

1. Review the [system requirements](system-requirements.html), [license](../legal/software-license-v1.0.html), release notes, and open release gates.
2. Establish agency and office responsibilities, roles, data-handling requirements, and a recovery contact.
3. Prepare a controlled non-production environment and fictional test records.
4. Confirm any external identity, email, messaging, payer, EVV, or other service requirements with the vendor before planning an integration.

## Installation and validation

Use only the version-specific package instructions for the verified release. Validate agency and office separation, role access, enrollment, audit history, schedules, assigned caregiver work, family/client visibility, and recovery behavior before production use. Exact configuration and migration commands remain release-specific.

## Field and mobile readiness

GPS/approach behavior requires the final physical field acceptance test. EVV-related features do not create a blanket compliance guarantee. Android publication, reviewer access, policy review, production deployment, external message delivery, and other release gates must be confirmed separately. iOS remains planned unless a later release notice says otherwise.

Accounting is deferred. External email/SMS delivery connectors remain incomplete or disabled unless a verified release notice states otherwise.
