Coal Road Software Purchase Terms

Draft for business use; independent legal review recommended. This document is not represented as attorney-reviewed. It is not a substitute for advice about a particular deployment, regulated operation, or customer contract.

Status: Draft. Sales and checkout are not active. The refund/cancellation policy and payment terms below are conservative placeholders and require owner approval before a live order flow.

1. Seller and order

The seller and customer will be identified in the order confirmation. An order must identify product, release/version, price, taxes, license version, and delivery status. A quote request or local browser summary is not an order and is not transmitted by this site.

2. Price and taxes

The Developer Pack is currently presented as $46.50 one time per product release. Applicable taxes may be added where required. Professional services, third-party fees, hosting, and other charges are separate. Prices and release availability must be confirmed at checkout before a binding purchase exists.

3. Payment provider

The payment provider will be named at checkout after owner selection and integration. No processor is selected or active on this site. Coal Road will not collect card numbers, security codes, or online-banking credentials in its own storefront.

4. Software and license

Before purchase, the customer must be shown the exact product/release and the applicable license version. The production order flow must require explicit agreement and preserve the accepted license version, order ID, product/version, and timestamp in a verified server-side record. The current local prototype does not create that record.

5. Delivery

Digital delivery becomes available only after a provider-confirmed payment state, verified server-side, and recorded license acceptance. A success-page redirect alone is not evidence of payment. The order must identify checksum, documentation, and receipt information. No download or entitlement is active now.

6. Customer requirements

The customer is responsible for checking system requirements, compatible infrastructure, backups, data rights, and authority to purchase. Installation, hosting, migration, support, and customization are separate unless the order expressly includes them.

7. Refund and cancellation placeholder

Owner decision pending before live sales: Until a final policy is approved, no online sale should be activated. Any eventual policy must preserve non-waivable statutory consumer rights and clearly explain cancellation, digital delivery, chargebacks, and remedies. This draft does not promise that digital goods are non-refundable or waive rights provided by law.

8. Fraud, chargebacks, and third-party charges

Provider risk decisions and payment credentials remain with the selected provider. Customer remains responsible for authorized purchases and applicable third-party/API, hosting, and vendor charges disclosed before commitment. Disputes and fraud handling will follow provider rules and applicable law.

9. Electronic records and updates

Order notices and receipts may be electronic after a production system exists. Future software versions are not included automatically. These terms will be versioned before activation and may not be changed retroactively for an accepted order except as permitted by law.
