LongField Architecture Overview
Status: Conceptual product architecture, not a release-specific component inventory. Exact services, schemas, protocols, and deployment topology will be published with the verified package.
Work-centered model
LongField connects matter context with people, communications, documents, dates, work, billing, money, and outcomes. The goal is that a user can understand what happened, what is next, what is owed, and where supporting material belongs without treating each function as a separate system.
Operational domains
- Matter and people: matters, contacts, firm/workspace assignments, intake, and lead-to-matter workflow.
- Communication and time: correspondence, calendar activity, deadlines, tasks, and time entries where included in the release.
- Documents: registry, generated material, secure storage, indexed/OCR content, matter navigation, phase-oriented organization, Drive, and LongField Explorer where supported.
- Financial operations: invoices, payments, payment plans, county billing, receivables, reconciliation, and management views as supported by the release.
- Access and administration: firm/workspace permissions and customer-controlled deployment boundaries.
Integrations and evolving capabilities
Microsoft 365 mailbox direction, local voice control, mobile applications, client alerts, OCR classification, and external data exchange must be checked against the exact release. This overview does not promise that every planned connection is generally available.
Portability
Deployment and document-environment portability depend on the release, compatible infrastructure, data format, and customer procedures. Follow the verified server-stack, backup, and migration instructions; do not infer that a database or storage volume can be copied while active.
