What You Can Do With Your Copy

Plain-language summary only — not the legal license. Intended rights are subject to the full Coal Road Software License v1.0 draft, third-party licenses, the order, and final publication review.

With the purchased release, the intended rights include

• Continue using that release indefinitely after purchase.
• Run it on compatible customer-controlled infrastructure.
• Apply customer branding.
• Modify the licensed copy for the organization's own use.
• Ask employees or contractors to modify it on the organization's behalf.
• Use development tools and AI coding assistants subject to privacy, security, and third-party obligations.
• Maintain it independently of Coal Road.
• Move it to compatible infrastructure.
• Retain and control Customer Data.

Not automatically included

• Resale or sublicensing to unrelated third parties.
• Commercial redistribution of Coal Road source or binaries.
• Coal Road copyright ownership or underlying product IP transfer.
• Future versions or modules.
• Hosting, installation, support, migration, integrations, or custom development.
• Third-party vendor, API, hosting, or license costs.

Your data being yours is not unusual. Your ability to modify the software itself is.

Modify it as much as you want. If you'd like Coal Road to install it, migrate data, integrate another system, troubleshoot your modifications, or build something new, that's professional services. The full draft license controls; this summary does not create rights by itself.
